How much betrayal can a mind take?
how much pain before a heart breaks?
the fool I am
the fool I'll play
this is my contempt
this is my scorn
kill the former self
but the joke goes on
sew a stone into your chest
count the slaps repeat again
the fool always jests
oh but love you know
(our) sorrows now over
the world spins on
the fool I am
the fool I'll stay
laughing in life
laughing in death
those who laugh last
always laugh best
Wild-eyed, manic punk rock from this group hailing from all over the world, combining the fury of hardcore with gothic gloom. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 9, 2016
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024
Opener absolutely rips. Falls into the ranks of tracks like “Dance” by ESG, “Eisbaer” by Grauzone, “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four or like the album description says Kleenex. This is some really good stuff. Favorite song is the opener but dedicate “Blue” to my friend Blue who lost her life at 22, she would have loved this album. TheBloodofChrist
